Everyone a different fitness goals.  Two words that important to any goal are SACRIFICE AND DEDICATION. Physical fitness is a lifestyle that goes beyond the gym.  You will get out of it exactly what you put in.  Transform your body through fitness and nutrition.

It’s what’s on the inside that counts.

The first thing you should have when you wake up is water.  Your body loses water while you sleep.  Try to keep a water bottle near your head so that the first thing you see when you wake up is water.  Keeping a medium to large size water bottle in your car is also a good idea.  Having water readily available makes it a lot easier to resist the temptation of a soda.

Carbonated drinks are loaded with sugar, carbs, and calories.  Fruit drinks usually have a lot of sugar.  There are decent alternatives like Crystal Light (it’s not that bad).  When I’m out and want something other than water usually have lemonade. I suggest getting a juicer. You can find one in just about every store in housewares.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  We have all heard it a million times and It’s still very true. Breakfast it the first chance your body gets to refuel.  Guys say all the time “I was running late and didn’t get a chance to eat breakfast”.

Keeping a protein bar in the glove compartment solves that problem.  As I said in the beginning, it’s a LIFESTYLE change. Keep a breakfast bar in your backpack.  Put one in your locker.  Sometimes I put one in my girlfriend’s car. Once you get started with breakfast, you should eat every 2-3 hours. .  If you are hitting the weights and cardio hard, you should eat regularly anyway.  Nobody wants to faint in the middle of exercising.

Protein helps you build muscle.  There are protein shakes and powders n the market at reasonable prices.  I try to monitor my Carbohydrate intake, but breads and cookies are my weakness.  Since I’m trying to bulk up I’m not too focused on my diet. I drink a lot of water; use a juicer; keep a breakfast bar handy; and try not to eat a whole pack of oatmeal raisin cookies every week.
